Silver Innings starts a referral helpline portal to provide information on all things that matter to senior citizens in Maharashtra.

It is fast becoming a cause of concern – a burgeoning elderly population in India and very little senior citizen-centric infrastructure. But there is hope yet, as senior citizens can now get access to a host of services through a unique helpline.
Launched in Mumbai on February 16, 2014, www.silverinningshelpline.com will provide comprehensive information to senior citizens and their family members. “It’s our way of creating a ‘super market website’ where elders can get information and get themselves connected to everything they need to lead a happy and contented life in their silver years,” says Sailesh Mishra, President of Silver Innings, which is working in the field of elder care since 2008.
Launched with information primarily aimed at Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Pune, the helpline will carry contact information for emergency numbers, medical and fitness help, legal and financial assistance, special needs (such as support group bureaus) and social needs (such as clubs, tour operators, etc.)
The helpline is a joint effort between Sailesh, Ramaa Subramaniam, co-founder of Silver Innings and Dhanalaxmi Rao, Project Manager and experienced gerontologist. “We call upon elder products manufacturers and distributors, as also service providers to register with us to reach a target audience of 50+ years,” says Sailesh.

HI,
This is Kanwaljit Singh. My parents Father is 77 years old ( Age proof available) and My mother is 72 YEARS Old ( age proof Available).
We are staying in Mumbai in Oakland park society Lokhandwala.
My father complained to society for few issues after that they are being harassed and tortured day and night. I abide to the laws of the govt. and don’t want to fight and create bad atmosphere.
Every day behind my parking they park a car and having senior citizen at home that can be disaster if I have to wait to remove my car.
Every day from evening till 9.30 PM just below their window the society members wives with their kids sits down and creates huge noise creating lot of disturbance to my parents .. last week my father also complained of pain in the heart as they sleep at 9.00 PM but cannot sleep because of the noise just below their window….
It’s been almost 6 months we have submitted letter to the society and also requested numerous times but they seem to do it purposely.
It’s the daughter of the secretary and the wife of the joint secretary along with the friends and we cannot stop this unless and until we also become like them….
It’s become almost impossible for my parents to stay here and I feel miserable not helping them as we respect the law of the nation.
I request and check if you can help .
Looking forward for your reply
Regards
Kanwaljit Singh
